Connective Cities
NEWSLETTER - EDITION NO. 29, December 2019

Dear reader,

this time we look back on a time full of events:

At the kick-off events in Eastern Europe/South Caucasus, Sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East/North Africa, our regional coordinators presented the mission and approach of Connective Cities to the relevant stakeholders of their respective regions. In a joint process, participants agreed on the regional focus themes.

In three dialogue events in Bandung (Indonesia), Niteroí (Brazil) and Hamburg, Connective Cities contributed to building additional local-level capacity at the intersection between climate protection and urban development.

"Improving the delivery of public services at the local level" was the focus of a Connective Cities workshop at the UCLG World Congress in Durban.
A delegation visit from the local government associations of Zimbabwe (UCAZ) and Zambia (LGAZ) to Cologne and Berlin provided the participants with insights into the functioning and structure of German municipal associations.

In this newsletter edition we will also inform you about planned topics and events in the first quarter of next year.

We would also like to use this opportunity to wish you all relaxing holidays, a happy new year 2020 and to thank all those who have supported Connective Cities with their commitment in 2019.

We hope you enjoy reading this issue,

Your Connective Cities Team
